Chairmen of Fusion Materials and vice-Chairpersons of MHD, Transport and Diagnostics Topical Groups are appointed

At its 35th meeting, held in Riga on 25-26 October 2007, the EFDA Steering Committee approved the setting-up of 4 EFDA Topical Groups covering the areas of diagnostics, MHD, transport and fusion materials.

The chairman of the Diagnostics Topical Group (Mr T. Donné, FOM), the MHD Topical Group (Mr P. Martin, ENEA-RFX), and the Transport Topical Group (Mr C. Hidalgo, CIEMAT) were already selected in December.

Now for the chairmanship of the Fusion Materials Topical Group and vice-chairmanship of the MHD, Transport and Diagnostics Topical Groups the following experts were selected:

• Mr S. Dudarev, UKAEA and Mr M. Rieth, FZK, as co-Chairmen of the Fusion Materials Topical Group,
• Mr M. Beurskens, UKAEA and Mr A. Murari, RFX, as vice-Chairmen of the Diagnostics Topical Group,
• Mr R. Buttery, UKAEA, as vice-Chairman of the MHD Topical Group,
• Mr C. Angioni, IPP and Ms C. Bourdelle, CEA, as vice-Chairpersons of the Transport Topical Group.
