Failure is not an option - Read the Stern Review on the Economics of Climate Change
"If society fails to reduce carbon emissions now, damage will become irreversible and its effects desastrous
for any life on this planet." In his 700-page report commissioned by the British Government, Sir Nicholas Stern,
former chief economist at the World Bank, stresses that it would not only save lives, but that it would also make
"good economic sense" to tackle global warming immediately. The task is manageable, the author says.
"We can grow and be green."
